Tengeru Institute of Community Development (TICD) is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Tutorial Assistant (Accounting and Finance). The successful candidate will support teaching, learning, research, consultancy, and community service activities under the guidance of senior academic staff. Through involvement in tutorial sessions, practical exercises, and research activities, the Tutorial Assistant will gain valuable experience in higher education while helping students build strong foundations in accounting and financial management.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Accounting and Finance courses up to NTA Level 6, equivalent to Ordinary Diploma level.
  • Assist in conducting tutorial sessions and practical exercises for students.
  • Prepare learning resources and instructional materials for tutorial exercises.
  • Support students through academic guidance and learning assistance.
  • Assist in conducting research activities, data collection, and analysis.
  • Participate in consultancy assignments and community service activities under supervision.
  • Assist in the preparation of academic reports and learning materials.
  • Support departmental academic programs and institutional activities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance from a recognized institution.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting and Finance from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 5.0 or above.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and business operations.
  • Ability to assist in teaching, tutorial exercises, and research activities.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with students and academic staff.
  • Commitment to professionalism and academic excellence.
