A leading organization in Morogoro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Treasury Manager. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in optimizing cash flow, managing financial risks, strengthening treasury governance, and supporting key business decisions. Working closely with senior leadership and Group Treasury teams, the Treasury Manager will help drive capital efficiency, funding optimization, and sustainable value creation across the business.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and manage foreign exchange, interest rate, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
• Execute hedging strategies in accordance with Group Treasury policies and IFRS 9 requirements.
• Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate market volatility impacts.
• Monitor hedge effectiveness and mark-to-market valuations.
• Develop and implement liquidity optimization strategies.
• Maintain accurate rolling cash flow forecasts and funding plans.
• Manage liquidity risk, funding requirements, and facility headroom.
• Improve cash conversion cycles through collaboration with finance, commercial, and supply chain teams.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure timely completion.
• Strengthen payment controls, banking governance, and fraud prevention measures.
• Manage short-term investments of surplus funds within approved risk parameters.
• Support funding activities and capital structure optimization.
• Monitor loan facilities, repayment schedules, and covenant compliance.
• Prepare treasury reports on liquidity, net debt, funding profiles, and financial risk exposure.
• Deliver variance analysis and strategic recommendations to management.
• Manage trade finance instruments, including letters of credit and guarantees.
• Monitor counterparty credit risk and optimize trade finance structures.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, regulations, and governance requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain treasury control frameworks.
• Drive treasury process improvements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CFA.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of finance experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in treasury management or banking.
• Proven experience in liquidity management and cash flow forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of foreign exchange risk management and hedging strategies.
• Experience managing financial instruments and treasury operations.
• Understanding of treasury governance and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IFRS 9 hedge accounting.
• Exposure to SAP ERP systems.
• Experience working within a multinational organization or Group Treasury environment.
