Stakeholder & Community Engagement Intern at ClimaCare Tanzania

ClimaCare Tanzania is seeking a dedicated and community-oriented Stakeholder & Community Engagement Intern to support relationship-building initiatives and strengthen collaboration with local communities and partners. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in community development, stakeholder engagement, environmental sustainability, and climate action to gain practical experience in the nonprofit sector.

Based in Mtwara, Tanzania, this on-site volunteer internship focuses on community-based climate adaptation and environmental protection. The selected candidate will play a key role in fostering meaningful relationships with community members, youth groups, and local stakeholders while supporting initiatives that promote sustainable development and climate resilience.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, stakeholders, and local partners.
• Support community engagement activities that promote sustainable impact and climate resilience.
• Engage with youth groups and community organizations during project implementation.
• Collect basic field data and community feedback to support program activities.
• Document success stories, project achievements, and lessons learned.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with local partners and participate in stakeholder meetings and outreach events.
• Participate in team meetings and organizational activities.
• Represent ClimaCare Tanzania in community forums and engagement activities when required.
