Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML), Tanzania’s leading gold producer and a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, is seeking motivated, energetic, and performance-driven individuals to join its Underground Mining team as Service Crew members. Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety standards, conduct hazard identification using Take 5 tools, report incidents promptly, and comply with underground operating procedures.
• Install underground air, water, and dewatering service lines according to company standards.
• Install, maintain, and extend secondary ventilation fans and ventilation ducting.
• Operate and maintain electrical submersible pumps for underground water management.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain mono pumps, pipelines, ladders, and landing platforms.
• Install, grout, and tension cable bolts according to geotechnical specifications.
• Hang, retrieve, and secure electrical and jumbo trail cables underground.
• Operate underground equipment, including Integrated Tool Carriers (ITC), underground light vehicles, and articulated dump trucks.
• Support underground heading preparation by transporting and delivering ground support materials, mesh, and lifter tubes.
• Transport tools, consumables, pumps, personnel, and materials between underground work areas and storage facilities.
• Manage stock levels at underground laydown areas and storage facilities.
• Perform housekeeping activities and any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Completion of Secondary School Education.
• Vocational Training from a recognized institution.
• Valid Tanzanian Driving License.
• Valid Blasting License is an added advantage.
• Ability to drive safely within a mining environment.
• 0–2 years of operational experience in an underground mining environment.
• Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience operating underground utility vehicles.
• Experience working underground as an Offsider or Nipper is an advantage.
• Competence in operating an Integrated Tool Carrier (ITC).
• Strong understanding and application of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) tools.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Effective planning and work execution abilities.
• Ability to coach and support new employees.
