Job Description
This role is responsible for supporting business performance management through financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, cost control, and operational monitoring. The Business Controller provides management with accurate financial information and business insights to support decision-making, profitability improvement, and achievement of organizational objectives.
The position works closely with finance, commercial, and management teams to analyze financial performance, monitor working capital, control costs, manage budgets, and support strategic planning processes. The role also ensures the accuracy of financial data within SAP and contributes to the preparation of reports required by management and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) dashboard reports and supporting analysis
- Prepare Working Capital Requirement (WCR) reports, including stock, receivables, and payables analysis
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and supplier obligations
- Prepare investment reports and reconcile investment records with SAP data
- Prepare monthly sales and import reports required by regulatory authorities such as EWURA
- Prepare capital expenditure (CAPEX) liquidation summaries and distribute reports to relevant departments
- Prepare daily margin reports and provide profitability analysis to management and commercial teams
- Prepare daily sales reports and distribute performance updates to stakeholders
- Update and maintain product pricing information in SAP systems
- Create and maintain vendor and staff accounts within SAP
- Monitor and analyze product costs to support pricing and profitability decisions
- Ensure correct application of costing and pricing structures in daily sales activities
- Support the Budget Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews
- Assist in the preparation and review of annual budgets and long-term business plans
- Analyze financial and operational results and provide explanations for performance variances
- Support management reporting and executive dashboard updates
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
- Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance, Business Analysis, or Financial Control
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and business performance management
- Experience working with SAP systems and related business processes
- Knowledge of Management Accounting and Financial Analysis principles
- Understanding of working capital management and profitability analysis
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules including MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and FI (Financial Accounting)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools
