Tengeru Institute of Community Development (TICD) is inviting applications from qualified and innovative professionals for the position of Assistant Lecturer in ICT and Computer Science. Responsibilities:
- Teach ICT and Computer Science courses up to NTA Level 8, equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree level.
- Prepare learning resources and instructional materials for tutorial exercises and classroom teaching.
- Conduct research, seminars, workshops, and case studies in ICT and Computer Science-related fields.
- Supervise students’ academic projects, research work, and practical assignments.
- Prepare teaching manuals, course outlines, and academic documentation.
- Participate in consultancy assignments and community service activities under supervision.
- Assess students’ academic performance and provide guidance where necessary.
- Support curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote the integration of technology and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized institution with a GPA of 3.8 or above.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized institution with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Strong knowledge of ICT systems, software development, databases, networking, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to teach, conduct research, and supervise student projects.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in an academic and research environment.
- Commitment to professional ethics and academic excellence.
