Assistant Lecturer in ICT and Computer Science Job at TICD

Responsibilities:

• Teach ICT and Computer Science courses up to NTA Level 8, equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree level.
• Prepare learning resources and instructional materials for tutorial exercises and classroom teaching.
• Conduct research, seminars, workshops, and case studies in ICT and Computer Science-related fields.
• Supervise students’ academic projects, research work, and practical assignments.
• Prepare teaching manuals, course outlines, and academic documentation.
• Participate in consultancy assignments and community service activities under supervision.
• Assess students’ academic performance and provide guidance where necessary.
• Support curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote the integration of technology and innovation in teaching and learning.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized institution with a GPA of 3.8 or above.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized institution with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
• Strong knowledge of ICT systems, software development, databases, networking, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to teach, conduct research, and supervise student projects.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in an academic and research environment.
• Commitment to professional ethics and academic excellence.
