Available Position

Accountant III – 8 Positions

This role focuses on managing financial records, analysing transactions, and supporting financial reporting processes within the bank.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Originating financial transactions in various accounting systems
• Analysing financial transactions and maintaining books of accounts
• Maintaining payment voucher register records
• Assisting with preparation of corporate budget estimates
• Managing and maintaining client accounts
• Performing account reconciliation
• Preparing draft financial statements
• Analysing operational costs to improve efficiency
• Preparing and filing tax returns
• Processing invoices and tracking payments
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and correct accounting treatment for disposals
• Assisting external auditors during audits
• Supporting preparation of plans, budgets, procurement inputs, and periodic reports

Additionally, the successful candidate will perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Finance
  • Commerce
  • Business Administration (majoring in Accounting or Finance)

The degree must be obtained from a recognized institution with at least Upper Second Class.

Professional Qualifications (Advantage)

Possession of any of the following certifications will be an added advantage:

• CPA (T)
• ACCA
• CIMA
• ACA
• Other relevant professional accounting certifications

Salary Scale

• BTSS 7
