About the Role

The Foundation for African Empowerment (FAE) is looking for a Volunteer Accountant to manage financial operations and project funds across its initiatives in Tanzania and Zanzibar.

This role is ideal for young professionals, retired experts, or residents with a valid permit in Arusha who are passionate about nonprofit financial management. The Volunteer Accountant will ensure that all financial activities adhere to donor requirements, international best practices, and organizational policies, while providing guidance to the leadership team on financial matters.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in software installations and financial systems oversight is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise financial reports.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
