Yas Tanzania is seeking an experienced and strategic Training & Development Manager to lead learning and development initiatives that enhance employee performance, leadership capabilities, and organizational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying training needs, developing learning strategies, managing training programs and budgets, and supporting employee development across the organization. Working closely with line managers, employees, and HR teams, the Training & Development Manager will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, leadership development, and high performance.
Responsibilities:
- Support line managers and employees in identifying and assessing the competencies required for successful job performance.
- Lead regular meetings to discuss annual and quarterly workforce planning, operational issues, and learning and development needs.
- Conduct training needs assessments and develop comprehensive annual training plans.
- Manage and monitor the training budget in collaboration with the HR Compensation and Benefits Team.
- Implement, review, and maintain learning and development policies and procedures.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Design and manage leadership development programs and succession planning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee learning and development records.
- Develop, implement, and manage the annual training calendar.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate learning and development initiatives.
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement measures.
- Lead the implementation and reinforcement of organizational culture initiatives.
- Collaborate with business leaders to align learning programs with organizational goals.
- Support employee career development and professional growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, training management, and employee capability development.
- Proven experience in training needs assessment, training design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of learning and development principles and best practices.
- Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills.
- Strong people management and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
