Yas Tanzania is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Application Support Supervisor to lead the daily operations of its Application Support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising application support activities, providing advanced technical support, ensuring application availability, and driving continuous improvements in system performance. Working closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, the Application Support Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining stable, secure, and efficient application services that support business operations and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Application Support team.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for business-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot application and system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Manage application updates, patches, releases, and configuration changes.
• Establish, implement, and enforce application support procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to identify application requirements and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for application configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
• Ensure applications comply with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Support system integration activities and ensure seamless interaction between applications.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to team members.
• Monitor service performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in application support, IT operations, or a related technical environment.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, databases, SQL, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
• Experience using application monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds and similar platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities.
