Tutorial Assistant (Social Work) Job at TICD

Tengeru Institute of Community Development (TICD) is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Tutorial Assistant (Social Work). Working under the guidance of senior academic staff, the Tutorial Assistant will help facilitate practical and tutorial sessions while gaining valuable experience in teaching, research, and professional practice in the field of social work.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Work courses up to NTA Level 6, equivalent to Ordinary Diploma level.
• Assist in conducting tutorial sessions and practical exercises for students.
• Prepare learning resources and instructional materials for tutorial exercises.
• Support student learning through academic guidance and assistance.
• Assist in conducting research activities and data collection.
• Participate in consultancy assignments and community service activities under supervision.
• Contribute to the preparation of academic materials and reports.
• Support departmental activities and academic programs as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Advanced Diploma in Social Work from a recognized institution.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5 or above.
• Good understanding of social work principles, theories, and practices.
• Ability to assist in teaching, tutorial exercises, and research activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students and academic staff.
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to professional ethics and community service.
