Job Description
Tengeru Institute of Community Development (TICD) is inviting applications from qualified and passionate individuals for the position of Assistant Lecturer (Psychology). Responsibilities:
- Teach Psychology courses up to NTA Level 8, equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree level.
- Prepare learning resources and instructional materials for tutorial exercises and classroom teaching.
- Conduct research, seminars, workshops, and case studies in areas related to Psychology.
- Supervise students’ academic projects and research work.
- Prepare teaching manuals, course outlines, and other academic materials.
- Participate in consultancy assignments and community service activities under supervision.
- Assess students’ academic performance and provide guidance where necessary.
- Support curriculum development and academic quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized institution with a GPA of 3.8 or above.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized institution with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Strong understanding of psychological theories, principles, and practices.
- Ability to teach, conduct research, and supervise student projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in an academic and research environment.
- Commitment to professional ethics and academic excellence.
